The Kawasaki Snowmobile

Kawasaki made snowmobiles for a period of time. They bought the Sno-Jet brand from the Glastron Boat Company in 76'. They ended making the Sno-Jet in 1982. Kawasaki stopped making and manufacturing the Sno-Jet due to a declining market. In 1968 the Sno-Jet company started by an investor visiting the Glastron Boat Company which were looking for more money. The investor liked the home-made snowmobile they had there. Glastron decided to specialize in snowmobile, as they where climbing fast. Then in 1973 OPEC oil company had a sky rocket in the gas prices which then slowed the snowmobiling industry to a halt. Sno-Jet hung in there for another couple years until 1976 when they sold out to Kawasaki.
